Sunburst Oranges Asks, What Are Your Labor Days Plans?

While the calendar may say that summer ends three weeks into September most folks feel that the Labor Day Weekend Holiday truly marks the end of summer.

Many of us get out and celebrate with a picnic and refreshing citrus drinks. Of course, lemonade is the traditional thirst quencher that we all enjoy.

I don’t know about you, but, I feel that there is nothing better than fresh squeezed homemade lemonade.

The web contains many different recipes to make your own.  We are, of course, partial to the one we published on August 14th, 2014.  http://sunburstoranges.blogspot.com/2014/08/sunburst-oranges-refreshing-lemonade.html

Many folks have let us know that they add a sprig of mint to their lemonade for a festive touch.  My plan is to try that while I kick back and watch some of this weekend’s NASCAR races.

We don’t to let you feel that you must stop enjoying lemonade just because we have passed an arbitrary date on the calendar.  Nothing could be further from the truth. Just a big reminder that Sunburst Oranges is a great place to buy your fresh savory lemons a source that is close to the trees that produce those lemons.

With all we read and see in the news today it always great to know the source of your food. All of your food that is.

More and more folks are talking about orange juice as a great thirst quencher as well.  Sure enough orange juice has moved on from being just a breakfast drink.  Mixing your fresh squeezed juice with sparkling water or seltzer (carbonated water) gives a special treat to that fresh glass of juice.  Make sure you don’t add too much water and over dilute your orange juice.

Trying to find something new to throw on the grill?  May we suggest another recipe that we offered on April 29th, 2014 - Sunburst Orange Honey Glazed Grilled Pork Tenderloins.

If you looking for a great and tasty dish to wrap up your grilling season this is a sweet, savory and spicy dish to wow your quests. Keep in mind that you may need to double or triple the recipe to handle a big crowd.

Let us know how your Labor Day Celebrations and barbecue went for your family.
