Most folks think of Lemonade as a summer time thirst quencher. We must agree that few things are as satisfying on a hot summer day as an ice cold glass of lemonade. You might even call summer “Lemonade Season”.
With the traditional end of summer (Labor Day) fast approaching I feel I need to ask a question. Have you had your fill of summer lemonade? Many of us feel that only fresh squeezed homemade lemonade will do.
The Perfect Pitcher of Lemonade
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup hot water
2 cups fresh squeezed Sunburst Lemon juice
1 gallon filtered cold water
1 Sunburst Lemon, sliced
Container filled with ice
Directions
In a 1 and 1/2 gallon pitcher, add the sugar to the cup of hot water, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add Sunburst Lemon juice and cold water to make 1 gallon. Stir until well mixed. Pour lemonade over glasses of ice, squeeze slice of lemon on top of each. Partially split the lemon slice and garnish on the rim of the glass.
Sit back and enjoy with your favorite barbecue dinner. Or, actually, enjoy a fresh squeezed glass of Sunburst Lemonade anytime you please.
Did You Know?
You can get more juice from a lemon with less work if you microwave them first. Microwave them for 15 seconds and you'll almost double the amount of juice you'll receive from them.
Don’t just throw away you lemons after making lemonade. Dispose of the parts and pieces down your garbage disposal to make it clean and smelling great.
