Sunburst Oranges participated in two Liver Foundation Walks on September 20th and 21st 2014 in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. On Saturday September the 27th they had a booth for the Nashville Liver Walk.
The great news is that the combination of the three Liver Foundation walks raised more than $180,000 dollars for the cause.
According to the different Liver Foundation web site pages the following teams were listed as raising the most money; San Francisco: Team Wally! Scripps Green Rocks! ($3,335.00) - Los Angeles: Boomer's Buddies ($13,365.00) – Nashville: Team Ryman ($3,972.22)
For individuals donation totals at the events the listing is as follows; San Francisco: Karin Sandberg ($1,695.00) - Los Angeles: Gordon Benson ($10,020.00) – Nashville: Brandy Little ($2,862.22)

The National LIVEr Champion; the 2014 National Liver Life Walk LIVEr Champion. On April 17, 2011 Isaac Newcomb was admitted to the Phoenix Chidlren's Hospital due to yellowing of the eyes. He was then flown to the University Medical Center in Tucson. Isaac had contracted an unknown virus that was killing his liver. He was showing signs of brain swelling, slurred speech, diminished coordination, and uncontrollable screaming. He had to be placed in a medically induced coma. Issac's transplant took place on May 8th, 2011 (Mother's Day). Isaac came home just 14 days after his transplant.
