Sunburst Oranges
participated in two Walks this past weekend, September 20th and 21st
2014 in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. The money raised goes to the
American Liver Foundation.
The Liver Life
Walk® in San Francisco Raised more than $30,507.50. It was held Saturday,
September 20 at the Music Concourse in San Francisco’s fabled Golden Gate.
Onsite
Registration and Check-in began at 9:00 am and the One Mile Walk began at 10:00
am. It was a
beautiful day for the event.
Funds raised
support medical research, public education, patient support services, and
advocacy. Every individual participant who raises $100 or more received an
official 2014 Liver Life Walk event t-shirt!
The Liver Life 5K
Walk® in Los Angeles Raised more than $100,543.91. It was held Sunday,
September 21 at Ocean View Park, 2701 Barnard Way in San Mateo.
Continue to
watch their Facebook Page (link below) for updates on what's happened at the
American Liver Foundation, Greater Los Angeles Division. Also, photos from the
Walk will be posted there as well!
The totals
raised will continue to climb as the groups have six weeks to get in all the
pledges they will be collecting.
Sunburst Oranges
wishes to thank all of those that participated in these two walks and all of
the other American Liver Foundation events.
All of these
folks are working toward a future free of liver disease. That is the goal the
volunteers and staff of the American Liver Foundation® work toward every day.
You can join them and make a difference as a participant in the Liver Life
Walk®. Your participation will keep us moving forward in the fight against one
of America's fastest growing public health concerns -- liver disease.
