The 5th Annual Parish Pride Car Show sponsored by the Porterville Knights of Columbus Council 2329 was a great community event with over 150 of the finest custom cars, trucks and bicycles with cash prizes for Best of show, Best Engine and Best Paint.
Back by popular demand is the Car club Tug-o-War! The Central Valley Blood Mobile was there and many gave a pint and got a lunch on the Knights! Great food along with vendors on the plaza. It made for a great day.
Bounce houses and snow cones thrilled the kids! This is an alcohol and drug free event for the whole family at the Holy Cross Church. As always it was free to the public. Cars that were registered before May 30th got a pulled pork lunch with their $20 Registration! All proceeds went to local charities.
The Porterville Knights of Columbus Council #2329 is a fraternal organization of Catholic Men dedicated to the service of their church, families and community. The Porterville Knights of Columbus raise money throughout the year through various events to go to several local charities. A few of the local charities that Knights of Columbus support are St. Anne's Food Pantry, Helping Hands, Tulare-Kings Right to Life, Wheel Chairs for Veterans, Porterville Adult Day Care Services (PADS), The Veteran's Park Tree Planting Project and various other youth activities. The car show helps fund these projects and bring the community together.
